Claire and Jewelry-Love/Hate relationship

Here's Claire having fun with the jewelry, taking it out of the box, putting it back in. Just loving it.
All of a sudden she turns on it. She hates it and wants it off. Literally, this happened in a split second. Babies are so funny with their emotions.

Nothin' Much

I don't have anything to post about really. But I thought it was time to update my blog. Say hi to Claire!

Yes, I'm going private as well!!!

I'm going private a week from TODAY (maybe a week and a half. Maybe two). Leave your e-mail even if I don't know you. 'Cause you might want to stalk our family since you knew Levi from high school or something. Or you think I'm SO HOT and you like my body. Or you just think I'm the smartest person EVER and you think you'll get stupider by the day if you don't read my blog. K. The End.

Obama-Be Positive

Last night I was in a terrible rut. I almost considered not voting at all, today. I wrote about it in my journal even, and read about it later that night. I kept going back and forth about what I should do. Two years ago, before I even heard Obama's name from anyone (which, I certainly should have considering he was a senator from Illinois and I lived there for 8 years), I read an article about the people who were going to run for President and I KNEW he needed to be the one. I just got this feeling, it was immediate and I couldn't ignore it. It was even before Levi had said anything about him (I say this because there have been a lot of times I just say things because he's said them). I went home and told him that I just loved Obama already and thought he had the greatest outlook on things. I feel that this is an AMAZING time; especially for African-Americans but also for everyone else who ISN'T white. Because now they know that they have a chance, that they're not being ignored. I think that's very important, because that's what America's about. America has always been made up of different people from all over and that's what makes America so great. This is also an amazing time for young people. They know now that they can also be heard. It's amazing for that 106 year old woman, Barack was talking about, who was alive a generation after slavery. When she couldn't even vote. I think of my Grandparents who HATE Obama (haha) that they have a chance to possibly soften their hearts, try to be more open-minded and perhaps support their new President.

To all of those who are afraid of Obama being President. He's not a bad guy. His father left their family when he was a child, his mother and grandmother raised him and they were so poor. The fact he went through all of that and still became the great man he is now; He overcame that and became THE FREAKING PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, is just amazing. He's helped so many poor and black people it's amazing. He's worked so hard and he's never accepted ANY money from lobbyists.

I'm so excited about this election and I'm glad I was alive to witness it. I couldn't help but have the most amazing feelings while I was watching this event on television. Even now, I'm getting butterflies in my stomach just writing about it (even though most of you feel like throwing up. Maybe you're just confusing those feelings with butterflies. Yes, that must be it).

Going back to the rut I was in; I remembered all of the qualities I loved about Obama and realized that I didn't need to think about it anymore. I had made up my mind 2 years ago when I first read about him and was considering who I should watch during this time period. He's the one, he WILL bring change. And despite what most of you think, that change will not be for the worse. Keep your head up and be positive. Be so grateful you were here during this time and have faith that Heavenly Father is looking out for us! Because he loves us and wants nothing more than for us to be happy.

I just want to say one more thing. McCain's speech that he gave was awesome. He didn't say one negative thing about Obama. He knew that Obama being elected was a positive thing and I admire that. He didn't try and have a pity-party for himself either. He knew he tried his hardest and he did all that he could and that, too, is admirable. He did a great job (aside from the negative campaigning) and I really wouldn't have minded if he had been elected for president instead of Obama. They both were good candidates and it was refreshing to see that.

P.S. Does anyone else think that Michelle Obama looks like a black version of Sigourney Weaver?

Friday Night

Saturday, November 1, 2008

Okay, guess where I went AGAIN. Come on, just think really hard. "Where does Stephanie go once a week" I'll give you a hint: It's free, it has animals, and it's an outside activity. YES! THAT'S RIGHT!! WHEELER FARM! This time, my mom came with me so she could keep Claire occupied while I took pictures. Look how pretty it looks there!! I wished someone would have raked up all of the leaves and made huge piles for everyone to jump in.
